Pssst we'd like to let you in on a secret! Deal that is...
This 2014 Reserve label Pinot Noir hails from a boutique producer located on the fringe of sunny Nelson. The secret squirrel team behind wine focus very much on hand crafting the wines, from the picking of the grapes to the work in the winery.
It's structural and complex thanks to both time spent in French oak barrels and the bottle. It is unfined and unfiltered thereby retaining full bodied fruit flavour with these interplaying alongside smokey notes, bing cherries, spice and earthy characters.
It's at a price that the supplier didn't want us flaunting so hence the secrecy... No dodgy dealings here just a crackin' deal. It's drinking excellently right now so grab your share of this extremely limited allocation before it goes.
And now don't just take our word for it...
5 Stars / 94 Points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "It is sweetly fragrant on the nose showing dried cherry, dark plum, smoked game, truffle and roasted nut characters, leading to a velvety palate that is plush and rounded. The wine offers gorgeous fruit ripeness together with seductive savoury notes, wonderfully framed by polished tannins. Beautifully maturing and delectably drinking."
