Produced by Bill Calabria, who was an awardee of the Order of Australia for services to the Australian wine industry, so you know it’s going to be great! Made from 100% Shiraz, it’s filled with rich, ripe berries, smoky oak and spicy black pepper and will be perfect now and in the years to come. Medium, ripe tannins give it length and the texture is warm and velvety. Chuck some lamb on the BBQ, or some big mushrooms for the veges amongst us, and you’ll be sure to be satisfied!
A glass of pure fruit. Grapes taken from the Matahiwi Estate home vineyard are picked ripe and bursting with concentrated sugars. They’re then taken to the winery when they are fermented in steel at low temperatures which is essential in maintaining those fruit flavours typical of Pinot Gris.
