A vibrant Pinot with surprisingly density and body. 2019 was a tough growing season for the winemakers in Riverina and NSW, as fire engulfed the region, razing to the ground over 5 million hectares of land and destroying everything in its path. Thankfully, the area from which the Calabria Family source their Pinot Noir remained untouched and they were able to harvest the grapes in early Feb and then send them to the winery to be vinified. The 2020 release is bright ruby in the glass with ripe cherries, hints of wild strawberry and juicy raspberry on the palate. This wine was made to be drunk now, so pop the top and enjoy!
86 Points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "Attractively fruited and nicely lifted, the bouquet shows sweet cherry, dried herb, clove and toasted nut characters. It's juicy and rounded on the palate, delivering smooth mouthfeel and fine-grained tannins, finishing long and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to 2023. Sept 2020."
