Organic Malbec from Mendoza...
Originally from France, the home of Malbec is now undisputedly Argentina. Malbec loves the climate in South America and dependant on the altitude its planted at, can be produced in a range of different styles. This one is expressive and filled with a vibrant acidity which helps to cut through the rich, ripe berries. Mostly dark fruit there’s also a hint of violet and spice which adds to the complexity. Drink it now or over the next few years, it’ll be a winner on any dinner table.
Great with mature cheeses, Bayonne ham, wild boar, lamb, meat dishes and pasta.
The Piedra Negra Gran Malbec is Certified Organic. Short pruning was carried out at the end of winter followed by green harvesting during the summer to improve the concentration and maturity of the remaining grapes. Following vinification, the wine was macerated for more than 7 weeks. Malolactic fermentation took place in cask and 3 months of ageing followed in the same casks. The wine was aged in French oack barrels for 15 months.
Lindauer is synonymous with Kiwi picnics. It's easy drinking as it's a a drier style wine, the taste is crisp and complex with notes of citrus fruits with hints of strawberry sorbet and toasty notes.
