Mission Estate Vineyard Selection Pinot Noir 2018

A bright, engaging Pinot Noir with a sweet floral bouquet of red cherries, forest floor and wild berries. The palate surprises by being full bodied but still holding an abundance of sweet fruit as a nod to its Awatere Valley origins. Ripe silky tannins tie it all together leading to a lengthy finish.

"While we usually associate Marlborough with Sauv, it is also home to some great Pinot Noirs with vibrant colour and a distinct cherry backbone. The grapes for Mission Estates 2019 were picked from around the region before being fermented and rested in stainless steel to encourage a fresh and fruity style. It is medium bodied, easy to drink and absolutely bursting with cherries, both bright red and deep black. The finish is long and elegant, and it is drinking well now and will continue to do so for the next few years." - Wine Central Tasting Panel

"A savoury take on Pinot Noir that delivers on both fruit and spice. Tart cherry and fresh raspberry with a hint of plum mingle with violets, cardamom, and wet earth." - 17/20, Diana Hawkins, Certified Sommelier & MSc
