Mission Estate Vineyard Selection Pinot Gris 2019

A single vineyard Pinot Gris hailing from the Awatere Valley in Marlborough with all the fruit purity you'd expect. The lifted bouquet shows mandarin, pear, lemon peel and spice aromas, followed by a ripe and rounded palate.

Intense fruit is a constant from the nose to the finish with it also boasting a fine structure, good minerality and subtle texture.

"Light, subtle, and easy drinking are three words that come to mind when drinking the 2019 Mission Estate Pinot Gris. The wine was fermented in stainless steel to retain its fruity freshness before spending a short time on its lees for balance and a weighty mouth feel. Think tinned pears, sweet lemon, and a hint of minerality. This one would be best served with prawn Pad Thai or as a quaffer on those long, hot summer days." - Wine Central Tasting Panel

"Rich and full-bodied with spicy ginger and jasmine accompanied by Anjou pear and white peach. The wine is balanced by a juicy mandarin acidity and finishes dry." - 17/20, Diana Hawkins, Certified Sommelier & MSc
