Mission Estate Vineyard Selection Chardonnay 2019

Youthful, fragrant and full of life with an appealing bouquet that shows ripe stone fruit, apple, rock melon and subtle vanilla characters.

Chardonnay picked from the vineyards in the Hawkes Bay is pressed and then fermented in both stainless steel and French oak before going through a bit of malo for depth, complexity, and those delicious buttery notes. It spent a time on its lees before being blended and bottled. Pale yellow in the glass its filled with subtle citrus, tropical fruit, and toasty butter. This one will do great with a few more years age, drink into 2022.

18/20, Diana Hawkins, Certified Sommelier & MSc (2018 vintage) "Delicate on the nose with inviting aromas of white flowers, gala apple, nectarine, and candied lemon. The palate surprises with a pleasant hint of oak and brown spice that compliments and doesn't overwhelm."
