A delicious red sparkling wine from Modeno, Italy. The nose is pleasant and persistent with violet notes. Dry, fresh and fruity on the palate.
Raymond Chan Wine reviews: 4 Stars & 18.0‐/20: "Very dark, full and deep purple‐hued ruby‐red colour, youthful in appearance with low effervescence. This has a very full and soft bouquet with well‐concentrated aromas of ripe raspberry, boysenberry and dark plum fruit along with an earthy cola and herbal twist. Medium‐dry to medium in taste and low in effervescence, softly full fruit flavours of earthy raspberries, plums and herbs show with fleshy approachability. The sweetness and richness is countered by fresh acidity and building tannin textures, forming a balanced and harmonious mouthfeel with excellent presence and weight. The extraction becomes the feature, carrying the palate to a full, grainy finish. This is a softly full and ripe‐flavoured, medium‐dry Lambrusco with textural presence.”
Sweet, fruity, fresh, lively and pleasantly harmonious.

A delicate bouquet is redolent of spring blossoms and ripe fruit. Tasty, full flavours become particularly seductive when the wine is served chilled. It will bring out the best in seafood salads, pastas, and chicken with spring potatoes. This is a light-bodied Pinot Noir with ruby red colouring and aromas of ripe cherries and vanilla. The palate is juicy with bright red fruits, a smooth mouthfeel and fruity finish. 83 POINTS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2017 "Fruit expressive and fragrant, the appealing bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, mixed spice and nutty characters. The palate is juicy and rounded, and offers bright fruit flavours and smooth texture, leading to a lingering fruity finish. At its best: now to 2018." This is surplus stock from last years Mission Concert - hen e the incredible price for this excellent wine. This wine very much reflects the 2016 vintage, where night time temperatures were warmer than in normal years. The flavours are riper on the whole with an added bonus of an extra sense of minerality. The colour is pale. The bouquet has intense white currant, floral, herbal and passion fruit aromas. In the mouth the wine has good weight and texture with fine acidity. The finish is juicy with good weight, leading to a dry persistent clean finish. This is a... Read More
