A delicious red sparkling wine from Modeno, Italy. The nose is pleasant and persistent with violet notes. Dry, fresh and fruity on the palate.
4 Stars & 18/20, Raymond Chan Wine reviews "Very dark, full and deep purple‐hued ruby‐red colour, youthful in appearance with low effervescence. This has a very full and soft bouquet with well‐concentrated aromas of ripe raspberry, boysenberry and dark plum fruit along with an earthy cola and herbal twist. Medium‐dry to medium in taste and low in effervescence, softly full fruit flavours of earthy raspberries, plums and herbs show with fleshy approachability. The sweetness and richness is countered by fresh acidity and building tannin textures, forming a balanced and harmonious mouthfeel with excellent presence and weight. The extraction becomes the feature, carrying the palate to a full, grainy finish. This is a softly full and ripe‐flavoured, medium‐dry Lambrusco with textural presence.”
