Matchbook Estate Dunnigan Hills Old Head Chardonnay 2017

Buttery, smooth and hard to put down.

A harmonious balance between fruity and oaky thanks to the use of both older and brand-new oak barrels. Tropical fruit, cream and vanilla give way to a rounded mouthfeel and luscious finish.

The malolactic fermentation and ageing on lees adds texture, complexity and the rich, quintessential New World Chardonnay flavours.

91 Points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "Beautifully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows summer peach, mango, vanilla and roasted nut characters, leading to a succulent palate that is plump and rounded. The wine offers excellent fruit intensity backed by creamy mouthfeel and refreshing acidity, finishing long and smooth. At its best: now to 2020."
