Mariner Pinot Noir 2017

A cancelled export for fruit-loving Pinot drinkers!

The nights are cool and the days are warm in Upper Moutere resulting in wines with crisp acidity, fruit intensity and varietal purity. The 2017 Pinot is full bodied with layers of berry fruits, rich cherries and warm oak. Mouth filling, well structured and one of our best value Pinots to date!

"The Nelson region could take the award of the sunniest wine growing area in New Zealand. Long hot days and cool nights allow the varietal nature of the grapes to shine, alongside showing an incredible depth of flavour on the palate. The grapes for the 2017 Mariner Pinot Noir were sourced from Nelson, specifically the Upper Moutere region, known for its clay gravel soils which impart a minerality and delicate tannin on the wine. Mouth filling notes of strawberries, red cherries and vanilla are most obvious while the palate finishes slightly smoky. Drink this one now!" - 17/20, Wine Central Tasting Panel
