Hihi Pinot Gris 2019

Slightly off dry and delicious Pinot Gris, grapes sourced from around Gisborne are blended to create this luscious and juicy drop that will leave you salivating for more. Think a crisp green Anjou pear mixed with sweet honey and lemon. Try it with an indulgent desert like a pear tarte tatin or a buttery roast chicken. Drink now and into the next few years."

17/20, Wine Central Tasting Panel

Lynnette Hudson, Wine Writer and Advisor "Delicious aromas of ripe brown pears combined with hedonistic smellsof a crispy skin, roasted chicken in the baking dish, surrounded by its juices when you remove the dish from the oven, heaven.  This wine has an oily, viscous texture with melon, honeysuckle and beeswax flavours, soft acid, balanced by a long, warm finish."

Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer "Pinot Gris is incredibly popular due to wines such as this light bodied, off dry white with its eight grams of residual sugar per litre. It was made from grapes grown on Lincoln and Anita Ellmers vineyard in Te Karaka and was fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to produce a fresh fruit forward wine, which expresses ripe Pinot Gris flavours of pears and peach."
