Felicette Pays d'Oc Grenache Rosé 2019

What do two MW’s and a cat in space have in common?! You wouldn’t think much but in this case it’s the Felicette Grenache Rosé , direct to us from the South of France. In 1963 the French sent a cat named Felicette to space in a move that was just about as far outside the box as you could get in those days! Today, MW’s Fergal Tynan and Giles Cook craft this wine in homage to that sense of bravery and creativity.

Fruity notes of strawberries, juicy watermelon, zesty lemon rind and wild raspberries burst out of the bottle and make this a perfect match to all seafood, we think salmon sashimi is right up there in terms of the perfect pairing! Drink now.

Paying homage to the first cat on the moon, Felicette, this Rosé from the South of France is crisp, fruity and well-balanced. Dream big with this Rosé, if Félicette can make it to the moon, you can do anything!

93/100, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "Bright and lifted, the elegantly expressed bouquet shows crunchy apple, raspberry, nectarine and subtle floral aromas with a hint of savoury undertone. The palate offers excellent focus and flow, together with fine texture and vibrant acidity, finishing persistent and mouth-watering. At its best: now to 2022." Sept 2020.
