This is a medium-bodied and elegant style of Hawkes Bay Chardonnay. The palate is soft and textured with flavours of peach, intermingled with hints of butter, grilled nuts and subtle oak spice.

The grapes for the Chardonnay are sourced from around Hawke's Bay. Those from the north area of Bay View contribute ripe stone fruit flavours whereas the cooler sites such as above the Takaukuri River provite flinty grapefruit notes.

A glass of pure fruit. Grapes taken from the Matahiwi Estate home vineyard are picked ripe and bursting with concentrated sugars. They’re then taken to the winery when they are fermented in steel at low temperatures which is essential in maintaining those fruit flavours typical of Pinot Gris.
