Domaine Sainte Cecile Viognier 2017

"Viognier originally comes from the northern Rhone Valley and is most famous in the small appellation of Condrieu – an area devoted to 100% dry Viogniers. This wine comes from the vast Languedoc region in the south of France and a big wine in more ways than one. Its high alcohol and full bodied, intensely tasty style sings of peachy stonefruit flavours, which is one of the hallmarks of good Viognier. It’s dry with a light tingle of acidity adding freshness to the finish. Very good value at this price." - 4.5 Stars, Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer

"A symphony in a glass! Straight from the Pays dOc in Southern France comes this deliciously full-bodied Viognier which is ready to drink now. If you haven’t heard of Viognier yet, you should of. Its characterised by ripe stone fruits, zesty citrus and a rich and spicy backbone that will leave you wanting more. If you like your Chardonnays with little to no oak, then it won’t take long to be converted to Viognier which gives you that same rich, full flavoured kick we know and love. Try it with chicken, salmon or any dish with goats’ cheese and it really will be a symphony in the glass." - Wine Central Tasting Panel

"Viognier is known for its pronounced citrus and stonefruit characters." - Joelle Thompson, Wine Central Wine Guru
