Angove Long Row Shiraz 2017 This wine is deep red in colour, with some purple hues. Ripe berry and plum fruit aromas with notes of spice and pepper dominate the nose. On the palate rich ripe black berries and plums precede fine soft smooth tannins and a good length of fruit. Some vanillin and toast characters provide a well-balanced finish.
Echenor Malbec 2018 100% Malbec is picked and then cold soaked and fermented for 10 days. This helps to softly extract colours and flavours from the grapes, without any harsh tannins coming along for the ride as well. At Echenor it helps to give the wine the spicy and fruity flavours that it 's so well known for. A rounded spicy vanilla finish keeps you going back for more. Serve with your favourite meats and cheese over the next 4-5 years.
Iron Horse Hawke's Bay Syrah 2014 With a friendly image of a tractor on the label, it’s not difficult to work out what the ‘iron horse’ is here. Smooth and supple with powerful dark fruit flavours covered in creamy chocolate and sprinkled with cracked pepper. Deep and rich blackberries together with creamy dark cherries.
Les Rosbifs Shiraz 2015 World renowned Languedoc expert Thierry Boudinaud hand selected his favourite vineyards from a few towns in the southwest of Montpellier from which he took the grapes to craft this wine. He worked his magic in the winery before giving the wine a chance to age on its lees for 6 months in both steel and concrete. The result is a ripe and smooth palate filled with dried black fruits, black olive and a hint of vanilla. It’s perfect now so catch it before it goes over the hill in a few years. Serve with beef wellington, or any rich, tomatoey, lentil dish for the vegetarians amongst us.
Marcel Martin Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 The fruit-forward Marcel Martin Cabernet from the south of France has plenty of charm. Deep red in colour with aromas of ripe blackcurrant and red berries with black pepper hints. Smooth and well-balanced on the palate with damson and cassis flavours and a subtly spicy finish.
Twin Totara Cabernet Franc Merlot 2009 Deeply red in colour, the wine shows a wonderful bouquet of berry fruits. These rich and ripe fruits continue onto the palate with soft lingering tannins. The complexity is continuing to emerge alongside integrated oak. No need to cellar - just decant for an hour or so and you're away!
A glass of pure fruit. Grapes taken from the Matahiwi Estate home vineyard are picked ripe and bursting with concentrated sugars. They’re then taken to the winery when they are fermented in steel at low temperatures which is essential in maintaining those fruit flavours typical of Pinot Gris. Pear, citrus, honeydew melon and a core of zingy citrus make this one a crowd pleaser, especially when served with fresh seafood or chicken. - Wine Central Tasting Panel Alcohol: 13.5% [info Alcohol_Level="13.5%" Grapes="Pinot Gris" Seal="Screw Cap"] Read More
