A full and fruity style wine. Sweet strawberry and wild berry fruit flavours add richness leading on to a soft and rounded finish. This Silver Medal winning 2016 Rosé has been assembled from around 80% Malbec and 20% Merlot. The Huapai Malbec was hand picked on March 31st and the Merlot on April 1st. Both parcels were whole bunch pressed. This has allowed the winemaker to achieve the lovely pale pink colour so desired. The wine was tank fermented and then stabilised before bottling in June and July of 2016.TECHNICAL DETAILS
A delightful pale pink. At the edge it has a pale purple iridescence. This is from the Malbec. The nose is clean and fresh, dominated by summer red fruit aromas. This wine is full-bodied for a Rosé. It has real richness and weight on the palate. It is soft and round and finishes with a sweet fruit lift.
As with all Rosés, this wine is delicious young, but it does have the structure to gain complexity while keeping its freshness over a period of 2 – 4 years.

The philosophy at [yellow tail] is to make great quality wines that are also great fun to drink. Yellow Tail is a Cabernet Merlot that's very easy to get accustomed to. A soft, plum and cherry flavoured wine with scents of black currant, supple oak and fragrant spice. Immediately approachable and a pure pleasure when served alongside meat and tomato pastas. But, if you want to cut to the chase, here's the go. Drink [yellow tail], share it, swill it and explore it. And, while it's seriously good wine, remember to just kick back and simply enjoy it. Moscato is delicious. There is nothing like that light, perky fizz and natural raciness to make things feel good. Freshness is key and this Moscato has it in spades. Crushed green grapes, hints of peach and a little lift of tropical fruits to round out the soft palate but the real hero is the delicate 'frizzante' bubbles. A big win. Where do we go to find a delightful cornucopia of lightly frizzante fruit. Muscat and the Riverina? It's a no brainer. The region is known internationally for it's exquisite Moscato wines. Abundant sunshine and bountiful soils stimulate the vines to... Read More
