Church Road Gwen Rosé 2018

"You hardly need us to tell you the popularity of rosé is growing faster than winemakers can keep up with it, especially when it’s dry, pale in colour and as tasty as this one, which is named after Florence Gwendolen Brown. Hence, the name Gwen, who was the late wife of pioneering Church Road winemaker Tom McDonald. And since his legacy was all about Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and high quality dry reds made from these grapes, this dry Merlot rosé is a fitting tribute to both Gwen and to Tom as well as great modern wine. When next visiting Hawke’s Bay, pop into Church Road winery to see a love poem written by Tom to Gwen." - 4 Stars, Joelle Thomson Wine Writer

This poised Rosé is named after Florence Gwendolen (Gwen) Brown who was the wife of Church Road pioneering winemaker Tom McDonald.

It's refreshing and delicate, and combines Provencal with Kiwi fruit flare. Delicious as an aperitif.
