Chateau Roc de Minvielle 2016

For elegance combined with sheer drinkability, Bordeaux’s reds are hard to beat and this triple gold medal winner should not be missed. The Château Roc de Minvielle has a lively ruby color. The nose is complex and intense with beautiful notes of ripe blackcurrant and dark berries. The palate is smooth and rich with lovely red and black fruits. The finish is long and round.

Roc de Minvielle is a delicious reminder of what good petit château Bordeaux is all about. Originally built by a battalion commander, the historic Château Roc de Minvielle was seized during the French Revolution and resold as a national property to the Gadras family, who have lovingly maintained it ever since. The current owner, Pierre Gadras, takes great care of his precious vines, thinning leaves to ensure the grapes get maximum sunshine, and pruning back for extra concentration.
