Chateau Rider Chenu Lafitte Bordeaux 2014

"Chocolately, dark,  rich and full. This five year old Bordeaux shows what aging great reds is all about;  rounded, savoury and complex, it’s a wine that ticks all the boxes of late night deliciousness and lots of early evening ones too, especially when served with delicious roasted flavours. This is great value for money and super tasty right now." - 4 Stars, Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer

The vines are mostly planted on a mixture of clay and limestone perfect for their Merlot dominant wines, in particular this 2014. Rounded and easy drinking, its blackberry that is most obvious on the palate, as well as a spicy undertone which helps to carry it through. Serve with lamb, steak or your favourite hard cheeses – don’t forget to decant for a bit beforehand!" - Wine Central Tasting Panel
