Cantina del Campo Verdejo NV (9%)

Vibrant Verdejo. Verdejo, the nutty, zesty and herbaceous white from Spain has been given a lighter twist here at only 9% alcohol. Often seen as an alternative to Sauv, its only really grown in Spain and they know how to do it well! Try the Tinto and Blanco expressions as well, and pick a favourite if you can!

A light Verdejo with reduced alcohol content at just 9%.  A great alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.  Unlike most whites, Verdejo continues to improve over several years of bottle-aging, where it gains a rich texture and flavours of toasted almonds, supported by sparkly acidity.

Javier Munos is a passionate winemaker at the Bodegas Navarro López. Seven millions of litres annually reflect his experience and capacity only approximately. Through its work 14 million bottles are sold to extremely satisfied customers every year and it is growing constantly. Its secret is direct and immediate processing after harvest.

Sourced from low yielding 25-40 year old vines in La Mancha and Valdepenas, made using reverse osmosis process. While NZ can produce low alcohol Sauvignon and Riesling there is little alternative in the red/rose department. With their large economy of scale Bodega Navarro Lopez are able to produce very drinkable low-alcohol wines with more flavour and at a price better than similar wines from Australia.
