Campos de Viento Tempranillo 2019

Tempranillo is Spain’s most popular and prevalent grape variety. It’s produced in a variety of styles, and this one leans towards the fun and fruity side.

Bursting with fresh berries, black currants, and juicy plums on the nose, this wine has undertones of tart cherry and spice on the palate. Despite all that fruit, the wine is medium bodied and full of vibrancy. The tannins are present, but not overwhelming, and act as an anchor for those lush fruit flavours. This wine can be enjoyed on its own or paired with meat dishes like sirloin and pork.

From the broad plains of Central Spain where there is a high plateau with a continental climate and short growing season which is best suited to Tempranillo.
