Calvet Grande Reserve Chablis 2020

"All the hallmarks of Chablis. Freshness, cleanness, saltiness, salivating acidity, and great drinking!" - Lynnette Hudson, Experienced Winemaker and Advisor

Chardonnay from France, yes please! Chablis is in the northern most point of Burgundy and is known for its flinty, mineral, and smoky whites made exclusively from Chardonnay. Don’t expect the fruit bombs the New World is known for, here in the Old World they are more austere, with notes of limestone (from the soils the grapes are grown on!) and vanilla. Of course, there is still some fruit, like white peach and lemon, but its restrained making for great wines to serve with most cuisines. At this price grab a case, you won’t regret it!

Great with shellfish, crab and lobster.
