Alexis Lichine 1er Cuvee Exceptionnelle 2017

" This wine is made from grapes grown at the Entre-Deux-Mers (translates literally as ‘between two seas’) at the foot of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers in Bordeaux. It’s a fresh, clean, light bodied red style from France’s biggest fine wine region. Good value everyday drinking for a light style." - 3 Stars, Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer

Exceptionnelle Entre-Deux-Mers

You may not have heard of it, but the Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux, France) is home to a vast array of wineries, producing everything from sweet botrytized whites, to dry red table wines. Alexis Lichine produce their Cuvee Exceptionnelle from a typical Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and we think it’s a great introduction to the region. Well balanced fruit and spice dance on the palate, with notes of vanilla and velvety oak weaving through. It’s great with anything off the BBQ or out of the slow cooker and ready to be drunk now!
