Ghost Hawk Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2017

"Do you love your Chardonnays fruity, buttery and rich? Then grab a case of the elusive Ghost Hawk, named after the mysterious hawks, that stalk through the vines in the Hawkes Bay, appearing and disappearing at a moment’s notice. Its buttery and intensely fruity on the palate with notes of ripe lemon peel, a hint of vanilla and toasty oak on the finish. Serve with well matured cheddar or a big, buttery roast chicken. Drink into the winter of 2020." - 18/20, Wine Central Tasting Panel

A classic Hawke's Bay Chardonnay with aromas of citrus, stone fruit and peach, and a warm, toasty oak base. Rich, textural and creamy with a fine finish.

The name 'Ghost Hawk' refers to the hawks with hunt amongst the vines that appear silently and ghostly, then disappearing without a trace.

4 Stars, Sam Kim "Attractively expressed on the nose showing ripe stone fruit, rockmelon, lemon peel and subtle nutty characters. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity and rounded mouthfeel, well supported by juicy acidity, finishing long and supple. At its best: now to 2020"
