A full and fruity style wine. Sweet strawberry and wild berry fruit flavours add richness leading on to a soft and rounded finish. This Silver Medal winning 2016 Rosé has been assembled from around 80% Malbec and 20% Merlot. The Huapai Malbec was hand picked on March 31st and the Merlot on April 1st. Both parcels were whole bunch pressed. This has allowed the winemaker to achieve the lovely pale pink colour so desired. The wine was tank fermented and then stabilised before bottling in June and July of 2016.TECHNICAL DETAILS
A delightful pale pink. At the edge it has a pale purple iridescence. This is from the Malbec. The nose is clean and fresh, dominated by summer red fruit aromas. This wine is full-bodied for a Rosé. It has real richness and weight on the palate. It is soft and round and finishes with a sweet fruit lift.
As with all Rosés, this wine is delicious young, but it does have the structure to gain complexity while keeping its freshness over a period of 2 – 4 years.
This Pinot Noir is richly aromatic, showing ripe red cherry and berry characters, complemented by sweet spicy oak. The palate is opulent with soft ripe tannins and has great concentration, that together produce a powerful, elegant wine. This Pinot Rosé was fermented in stainless tanks at cool temperatures to retain the delicate fruit characters.
