The Family Syrah 2013

This refined Syrah shows white pepper notes on the nose classic of this varietal and a heart of rich fruit from one of the best vintages in history. Smooth tannins balance a hearty lingering finish that together cries out for a sympathetic food match – think mushrooms and blue cheese, steak, pork-belly, pear tart ... Hand-plunged daily for five weeks then matured in French and American barrels for 18 months. 13% alcohol.
